Swedish meatballs with gravy are the perfect one-bowl meal when served over creamy Idahoan® mashed potatoes. Grab prepared meatballs for an easier version.
Swedish Meatballs Bowl
Serves: 4
Ingredients
For the meatballs*
- ½ pound ground pork sausage
- ½ pound ground beef
- ¼ cup bread crumbs (panko works great!)
- 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 egg yolk
- ¼ tsp ground allspice
- ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
Gravy
- 1 12 ounce jar prepared beef gravy
- ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
- ⅓ cup sour cream
- ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
- ¼ tsp ground allspice
- Salt and pepper to taste
To assemble
- 4 oz package Idahoan® Butter & Herb Mashed Potatoes or any other flavor favorite, prepared to package directions
- 12 ounce frozen green beans, prepared to package directions
- Parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Spray a baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray.
- Mix together all the meatball ingredients. Using your hands, form into 1-inch meatballs. Place on the prepared sheet and bake for 30 minutes.
- Warm gravy and Worcestershire sauce over medium-high heat, just until it begins to bubble around the edges.
- Reduce the heat to medium and stir in the sour cream and spices. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Divide mashed potatoes between 4 bowls. Top with meatballs, gravy and green beans. Garnish with chopped parsley.

* Cut the prep time down on the recipe by buying pre-made meatballs.
